About

Hey there, my name is Martin. I am currently studying 'informatics: games engineering' at the technical university of Munich. I've started programming back in 2011 when I wanted to learn how to develop Minecraft plugins. As I was learning Java, I came across a minigame I had to code where the program picks a random number between 1 and 1000 and the player has to guess the number in as few tries as possible. I was super excited when I saw what I had programmed myself. Well, kind of myself. I really only copied the code off a book, but nonetheless, I had the feeling I did it on my own. Like I created something special. That is really where the game development journey started for me.

Since I had only learned Java as a programming language, I tried to find a good way to develop games with it. I've used quite a variety of libraries like LWJGL, Slick2D or libGDX for a few years and also tried game engines like Unity, RPGMaker or GameMaker, but never really got into them. Since I've started studying though, I began to fall in love with Unity and have been using it ever since. Over the years, I've been expanding my knowledge of other programming languages as well. C# to begin with, SQL, C++ and recently Python. I'm not planning on stopping any time soon, therefore stay tuned for new upcoming games.
